Stump Thrust Floor System

The Stump Thrust™ range of sports floors are an ideal choice for multi or general purpose floors, including school hall flooring, volleyball and stadium floors and more.

The Stump Thrust System is available in three different levels of performance. When combined with the most technically advanced PR™ or Thrust-A-Cushion™ pads Stump Thrust Floors provide a level of player comfort never seen before on this type of construction.

Engineering

Each application is designed to meet the individual facilities requirements, paying particular attention to site conditions, building design, designated sports and seating current or future.

The Stump Thrust™ System of floors are independently engineered for a specific application.

Technical Achievements

Traditionally pier and beam construction (bearer and joist) had restricted design characteristics. This type of construction now offers resilient floors all the way through to fully floating area-elastic and point elastic floor systems. Designed to cater for high point loads while showing considerable attention to the DIN 18032 Part 2 standards.

Versatility

The Stump Thrust™ range of floors are an ideal choice when encountering sloping sites, sites with rocky or bad soil conditions and contaminated areas, where a slab on the ground would be excessively expensive. They are a practical, versatile flooring option for squash courts, schools, stadiums, halls and more.

Stump Thrust 1(TM) System

The concrete stump is positioned within the concrete footing, a Thrust-A-Cushion resilient pad is fitted to the stump, then the bearers and joists are fixed into position. Directly fixed to the top of the joists is the selected Australian Hardwood or American Maple flooring. It is limited resiliency, easy to install and is very economical.

FINISH FLOORING

21mm or 25mm thick x 60mm or 40mm (nominal) wide, continuous tongue and grooved flooring machined to ASF’s requirements.

FRAMING

100mm x 100mm concrete stump, kiln dried bearers and joists treated (optional)

CUSHION PADS

12mm Thrust-A-Cushion Pads.

CONSTRUCTION LEVELS

Most local authorities require a minimum of 400mm ground clearance under the bearers. Bearers, joists and stumps to be in accordance with the engineer’s design.

PERFORMANCE

Stump Thrust 2™ System

The system incorporates the same components as the Stump Thrust 1 System. However the PR Cushion pads are fixed on top of the bearer and directly below the joist, then a exterior grade plywood layer is added over the joist in this system, giving the system added strength, stability and enhanced resiliency.
